We want “gender equity for ourselves and other female full faculty.”
ERA is representing 5 women professors at Vassar College in a gender pay discrimination lawsuit. One of the nation’s first women colleges, Vassar has disappointed alumni, faculty, and students by paying women professors significantly less than male professors with virtually equal qualifications.
“Through this action, we seek to achieve what we were prevented from accomplishing through private internal channels: gender equity for ourselves and other female full faculty, and the adoption of fair processes to ensure that future generations of faculty are paid, promoted, and evaluated fairly.” – Vassar women professor ERA clients
