Title IX Changes: ERA Presentation at U.C. Berkeley

Attend on Facebook

ERA’s Maha Ibrahim will speak on a panel at U.C. Berkeley, hosted by the Student Advocates’ Office, “Title IX Changes: Addressing questions and concerns on how the new Title IX regulations will impact formal SVSH reporting procedures at Cal.”
Ms. Ibrahim’s presentation, “Compliance without Acquiescence: How to Comply with the New Title IX Regulations without Adopting the DeVos Anti-Woman Agenda,” will offer a step-by-step walk through of the new regulations with legal analysis, national litigation and political landscape updates, and practical tips for how schools can come into compliance with the worst new regulations in the least harmful way and without assuming the Education Department’s anti-woman tone, claims, legal arguments, or political agenda. The presentation is made for legal, student activist, and school administrative audiences.
This will be a Facebook event.  ERA will share event information, including how to attend online, as it becomes available.

Other speakers include:

  • Cherie Scricca, Director of the Office for the Prevention of Harassment & Discrimination
  • Erin Slater-Wu, Independent Hearing Officer
  • Sharon Inkelas, Special Faculty Advisor to the Chancellor on Sexual Violence/Sexual Harassment
